2. Break the ice, on thin ice, ice skating, tip of the iceberg, ice cold...which icy idiom applies to your life right now? Explain.
I'm going to go with the tip of the iceberg. I am facing something at the end of February and right now we are at the tip and I am praying that it were it stays and doesn't get bigger.
3. What's a project you've been putting off? Will you get to it this month? This year?
By now you all know that it is decluttering or purging things. I do hope to accomplish that this year.
4. Of the fruits that grow well in winter which ones have you tried? Which is your favorite?
pomegranates, clementines, persimmons, passion fruit, pears, grapefruit, lemons, pomelos, kumquats
I like pomegranates, pears, and lemons for my water. Out of those you named, pears would be my favorite to eat.
5. What do you think it means to be courageous?
Interesting question. I think you need to be brave and when you know you are right you should stand up for yourself. I think we also need to be courageous when we are facing some difficult issues in our lives like our health. I also think if someone we know is having an issue we should help them to be courageous.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
If you follow me on Facebook you know that I had a lung infection which started on January 2nd. Not how I wanted to start the new year. I was able to push myself and get things into the front bedroom where the storage boxes are for Christmas but nothing is put away yet and the tree with ornaments is still up. It makes me very sad. However, the house doesn't look as christmassy as it did so that feels better.
The things in the front bedroom can't be packed up yet until I go through the boxes and get rid of the things I didn't put out. I also need to make some decisions on my ornaments.
I have a middle size tree that I didn't put up and I will want some of those ornaments on my big tree so I have to go through and decide what I am keeping. (FYI: I have 4 bins of ornaments I haven't used in years. There are at least 800 Hallmark ornament in them.) Why did I did this to myself????
My brother laws New Year's wish for my sister and I was that we would have a year filled with good health since last year sucked. Well mine started out with the lung infection. For my sister she passed out, hit her head on the desk in the bedroom and hurt her back falling to the floor.
Thankfully she was able to go home and is on the mend but it will take awhile. I am very thankful for all the prayers we received on Facebook. God Bless all of you.

prayers for you tip of the ice berg and for your sisters recuperation. and that the chest infection will go away and stay away. enough all ready.
if i had all those hallmark ornaments i would sell them on ebay. just post the whole thing and see how high the bidding goes. doing it one ornament at a time would be to much work.
i have been on thin ice for about a year now and hoping it doesn't break and dump me under water.
i have no comment on courage. nuff said
I'm so sorry you're facing an uncertain February. Praying!
I think what Sandra advised is wise. I'd only add, be certain about your feelings towards anything before selling. There've been a couple things I've parted with over the years than I regret.
Debby, I'm so sad to hear about the problems you and your family are currently facing. I'll keep you and all in my prayers!
I'm sorry for the many challenges you are facing. I do hope the tip of the iceberg remains just the tip. I think you could sell some of those Hallmarks for sure. Thinking of the joy some of the things we've parted with have given others helps with the letting go. Big hugs to you Debby xo
My goodness- I pray for nothing less than Gods best for you this year. Sure it’s a rough start for you and your sister for the new year, but it’s how you finish. Focus on your recovery first. Everything else can wait. God Bless
Hmmm...changes ...I do want to be more positive and really start walking and exercising again..My mind says yes but my body says maybe tomorrow!!!
So maybe mine is Breaking the ice..just Do It !!!
Gotta get all of my "junk" Treasures...sold on eBay, Marketplace etc...Need the money and need to get things cleared out.
Love clementines, persimmons pears and fresh off the tree lemons.
Not sure how to answer courageous...I guess it's being strong but not being so strong that I don't ask for help or being able to accept help..true humility.
So sorry about your ongoing health issues and for your Sister too.
Prayers for complete healing of body and soul.
Sue
Oh my, you need to tell your brother in law no more New Years wishes :) Hope you and your sister both move in the right direction for the rest of the year.
Hi, this weeks questions are not ones I can relate to but here is what I have.
I often feel like I am walking on thin ice around some family members.
I am not big on putting stuff off I like to do stuff when I think about doing it of course I don't always do that but I try.
Standing one's ground when others don't agree can be courageous
Kindness is given so softly and so gentle
Falling lie seeds along our paths and
brightening them with flowers.

I hope your iceberg will stay where it's at. I sorted through my Christmas stuff as I put it out this year. Now, I just have to pack up while I take it down. Hopefully this week.
I've prayed for you and your sister and I hope you both will be better soon.
Well you girls didn't start out to well - but start now! Getting well.
I am sorry about your lung infection.
Not sure what iceberg is there for February - but I pray it is okay.
Covid changed a lot - a lot of my friends still won't leave the house and that is so sad.
I would think you had fresh fruit all year round.
Hi Debby, I do hope the iceberg does not grow... I am praying for you and your family.
I hope to declutter more this year too.
Keep me updated on how you are feeling.
Carla
Debby, so sorry to read about your lung infection and your sister's accident. Prayers for both of you as I type. Hope things settle down health wise for the next months!
I'm so sorry about your lung infection and I hope that tip of the iceberg doesn't get any bigger. Please pamper yourself at least part of the time. ❤️
Hi Debby, Your health comes first. Christmas can wait. I understand the ornament thing because I am like you. I finished packing my Disney today and I have a large and medium size. I put the ornaments back in the box and it does take time. I really didn't start collecting Disney until around 2010. I have most of the Mary's Angels. Just missing a couple. I have the decades with the animals and a lot of the snow buddies. I am missing a few of the recent years. I have lots of Nativity ornaments and family and dog ornaments. My son buys and sells Star Wars on Ebay. I did get the recent Mary's angel on sale at Kohls for $6.00. I really hope we can meet someday. I will be praying that things work out for what you are dealing with. We are going to Old Towne Orange this Friday. Maybe I will find an ornament there!
