2. Do you have a special place or organizational system for gift wrapping? Do you still buy 'real' cards to send for birthdays, anniversaries, get-well, etc?
I just use the center island in the kitchen to wrap presents. Most of my wrapping is done at Christmas. Yes, I buy cards from Hallmark all the time. I am a diehard card sender for all of those your mentioned and more!
3. It's National Banana Day...are you a fan? What's your favorite thing to make with bananas or, if you're not a cook, your favorite thing to eat that contains banana?
Yes, I eat one almost every day. I don't have an answer for the other questions.
4. Do you believe in second chances? Elaborate.
I do believe in second chances. I think that sometimes people make mistakes and should be given a second chance. I'm not saying everyone. I did however give Mark a second chance.
5. What is your idea of fun?
This is a hard one to answer. Of course I love seeing James, which we did last night. Being with family is the best! Missing Amber and Dylan so much.
I like going to a casino but haven't been in awhile. Going out to eat can be fun although we don't go as often as we used to before the pandemic. We still haven't been back to a movie theater.

We are home from Montana. Returned home on Saturday late afternoon. I will get around to writing a post at some point. It's a long drive and I'm still tired. However, it was so wonderful seeing Amber and Dylan along with their dog Finley.
Because of Mark's accident last year we didn't get to go last year although they were here in October for James' birthday. It was a very hard time for me to leave them. We will go again this summer but I have to say it really sucks being so far away.

no gift wrapping, no gifts given, no cards mailed. not in many years. my sons gifts are cash, that is what they need/want.
Good to hear you are back home and safe and sound. I have to say that tiny dog is absolutely adorable. I do believe in 2nd and even 3rd chances. having made many huge mistakes in my life, I have had at least 3 chances myself
I almost said CPR, then realized I've probably forgotten everything myself. At my last workplace we had to be trained each year. Last time the rules changed where mouth-to-mouth was taken out of the 'recipe.'
Between the cost of good cards and postage, I've practically stopped sending greeting cards. Our grandchildren could care less, much less say 'thank you.'
This picture of your four (er, 5) is so great ... Finley's adorable!
Any chance of them moving back? Just wondering.
I agree about CPR - have you ever heard it is chest compressions now and if you know the song by the BEEGEES Stayin Alive - that is the right number of beats per minute.

I like bananas too.
I know you are a Hallmark gal for sure - I go to the Dollar Tree - but I do send cards - not Christmas cards.
I believe in second chances too.
Would your daughter and her husband ever consider a move back your way? The distance is hard and I so understand all the feelings that come along with the leavings. It never gets easier. I'm glad your son is close and you get to enjoy time with James. We have only been to one, maybe two movies since 2020. It doesn't hold the same appeal as it once did, and movies go to the streaming formats so quickly now you hardly have to wait to see the new releases. Have a great day Debby!
I agree that going out to eat can be fun, especially if it's a new restaurant with snazzy things I've never had. That's why I like visiting breweries also.
I enjoyed your answers Debby and I love that picture of you guys together. Take care and have a good day.
I think everyone should know how to cook a simple meal and laundry.
I don't wrap gifts like I used to but the gift bags sure come in handy.
I do like to send cards and receive them too. Don't do as many I I used to either. The cost is getting prohibitive .
Love bananas and just made a banana bread for our neighbors and one for ourselves...yum
I definitely believe in second chances. Love and marriage is a good example.
Being with family is always fun.
We do like to go to the casino now and then but since they disbanded the buffet we haven't darkened the door.
I love when my granddaughters just text me out of the blue...just to say hi and catch up on things.
I am one lucky Grandma!!!

My husband and I will go to an early showing during the week when it is not crowded. The prices are also cheaper! I like concerts, but not going anymore because of the large crowds and price. Have you thought of trying Pechanga? My son went and said it was not too crowded mid week.
I used to wrap presents sitting on the floor. I can't do that anymore. I stand at the dining room table and do it now.
That would be hard living so far away from Amber and Dylan. I know when my daughter lived in Colorado for a while I found it very hard to not have her around.
Hello! CPR is a good thing to know. I am glad you had a nice visit. That is a lovely picture of you all!
What's a skill you think everyone should have?
How to do laundry, you don’t need to know how to cook but you do need to know how to wash your clothes.
Do you have a special place or organizational system for gift wrapping? Do you still buy 'real' cards to send for birthdays, anniversaries, get-well, etc?
I rarely wrap gifts; I use gift bags or boxes. Yes, I still send real cards.
It's National Banana Day...are you a fan? What's your favourite thing to make with bananas or, if you're not a cook, your favourite thing to eat that contains banana?
I don’t cook but I do eat bananas, had banana and custard for breakie today.
Do you believe in second chances? Elaborate.
Generally speaking, depends on what the person did.
What is your idea of fun?

The key to happiness belongs to everyone who can see the simple treasures around them.
So glad you had such a good time in Montana and you are home safe. I can imagine a trip like that would make you tired with a need of recovery days. It is fun to be with grandchildren. Hope the rest of your week goes well.
I sympathize about the distance. My daughter (only child) lives in Massachusetts. She and her husband and pups have been coming once a year. We do have long phone calls every Sunday evening, which helps a lot. And, of course, we email a lot.
I enjoyed your answers. Have a beautiful day.

I think everyone should be able to cook a meal.
Second chances? Yes, and sometimes 3rd, 4th, 5th . . .
I enjoyed your answers. Yes, CPR is a good skill.
Beautiful blog
