I remember when Sunday dinners were with family almost every Sunday. Those were beautiful days when family would gather each week.
3. Do you like squash? If so what's your favorite variety? What's a favorite way to prepare squash?
I have liked eating squash and I did make something years ago with squash but I don't even remember what it was.
4. Do you shop the warehouse stores (such as Costco, Sam's B.J's, etc)? If so how often do you go, and what's something you always buy in this type of store?
Yes, we shop Costco. Mark shopped there on Sunday. I didn't feel like going. We probably go every other month. We buy all of our meat at Costco along with other items like wine and vodka. We also get some fruits and vegetables along with my string cheese. We always have a long list.
Something I started doing a while ago is ordering things online from Costco which makes the shopping trip easier. We just got a delivery the other day. It is 2 day shipping. That would be toilet paper, detergent, nuts, power bars, k-cup coffee and a few other things. Usually things that just take up space in the cart. It's free delivery for a certain amount of money.
5. Father's Day is this coming Sunday. Any plans to make the day special? Tell us something about your own father, or something about your hubs as a father, or about someone who stepped into your life and acted as a father if yours was not a part of your life.
We are going out Saturday with Adam, Gabby and James. We are heading out to their house. It should be a nice evening.
My father was a lovely man. He had a very kind heart. I don't think anyone could ever have said anything but kind words about him. I miss him so much. He passed away soon after the pandemic started.

I know you miss your Dad Debby. I'm glad you have plans with your family for the Father's Day weekend. So nice to have them close enough to spend in person time with. Have a great day!
Yellow Squash, Zucchini and Broccoli are some of my favorite veg's. Those are some of the very few veg's that don't contribute to my IBS anymore. I do miss my salad days but sticking with being mostly carnivore is good too. Have a glorious day! 💙
We always do our monthly Costco run, and Danny does find really good deals on prime beef; he cuts it up in steak size and we freeze it until we are ready to cook them for dinner. What bargains one can find there!
I miss my dad, too. Father's Day just hasn't been the same since he passed.
Blessings, Debby!
Thanks for the reminder about ordering Costco online. I’ll have to look into that. That’s one less trip we’d have to make. When we do shop there, about once a month, we go in the middle of the week and are there when the doors open. In and out! That’s how I roll.
We all miss our Dads - can’t help but think of them on Father’s Day. God bless you Debby
I have never shopped at Costco. Honestly, I don't know if we even have one around here.
I didn't realize this Sunday was Father's Day. No father or husband any more so not much reason to remember it.
I’m sorry that your father passed away, but I’m glad you had such a wonderful one. ❤️
the only thing simple in my life is I never go out of the house. Walmart, publix and doctors. can't get simpler than that. my big box store is Amazon.. I got 3 orders this week. I have never shopped the discount stores and did not know they deliver.
Fathers day is just another day here. but then so is Christmas thanksgiving and all holidays. see that simple also..
I hope you and Mark have a delightful time with James and his parents!
That is nice that you can get Costco to deliver to you. We go to Sam's Club since it is closer to us. Have great I like the picture of your dad. Have a great Father's Day with your family!
My daughter orders from Costco online but it arrives the same day so I suppose it depends on where the Costco is located. Your father does look like a kind man and its a lovely photo.
I don't eat squash as much as I would like to. I do like the spaghetti sauce a lot.
Your father sounds like a wonderful man. Hugs!
Yes, it sounds like our childhoods were very similar and both had loving, kind and special dads. I don't suppose we will ever not miss them.
Hi Debby, I enjoy when you share your memories about your father.
Love, Carla
