I have my grandfather's Singer sewing machine. He was a tailor. I also have my grandmothers wooden ironing board. We also have the dining room set that belonged to Mark's grandparents. His grandmother was born in 1900.
3. It's National Peach Ice Cream Day (July 17th). Will you be celebrating? Do you like peaches? Given a choice would you prefer peach ice cream, peach pie, peach cobbler, or just hand me a peach? Do you own anything that is peach in color?
No, I won't be celebrating. I do like peaches. I would prefer a peach. No, I can't think of anything that I own that is peach.
4. What makes a friendship successful?
Listening and keeping in contact, along with meeting up for lunch.
5. Let's give our brains a rest and do a little summertime this or that...beach or pool? ice cream or snowcone? amusement park or camping? burger or hot dog? watermelon or strawberries? get up early or sleep in late? sunrise or sunset?
I like to walk on the beach but I would rather swim in a pool. I choose ice cream. I used to like camping but haven't been in a long time. I will pick a hot dog since we don't have them very often. I pick watermelon. I get up early. I choose sunset.

As I type this, we are at Adam and Gabby's watching the dogs. James is over at his cousins house and Mark will pick him up tomorrow morning. We plan on going to Irvine Park to ride the train and maybe do the small zoo. Adam and Gabby get back tomorrow afternoon.

Hi Debby, that is nice that you have those antiques from your grandparents. Like you, I prefer the beach, but swim better in pool. Sounds like you have a fun time planned with James and I am sure he will enjoy it!
I laughed at the lady and the vibrating belt because back in the mid 60's I joined a club and used one. it did NOTHING the only way to get healthy is to stop eating to much and watch what we eat and a belt changed nothing.
Since I can't pick a techie thing for prized possession I have nothing to pick. I don't care about possessions, I have a few things I like, but they are not prized. I do have one possession prized above all else, and his name is Beau. I am also HIS prized posession
Boy and I HATE to admit this - but if I knew what I know now about taking better care of myself - I think I would have!!! Now seems over whelming and the damage done.
I agree about friends listening and sharing.
That sewing machine sound awesome.
I love peaches being from the peach tree state - lol.
Have fun with James.
Back In The Day I used to enjoy a nice bowl of sweetened canned peaches with cottage cheese on top. I thought that was a "diet". Little did I know that eating fruit was actually fattening ... lol My bad.
The body of our house is peach with a green tin roof. I thought it looked striking and I have to be the different one in the 'hood. 💙
I love fruit and ice cream, Debby, but now I have to watch how much of either I consume. It's not a matter of weight but of blood sugar. I hate it!
Have fun with that adorable James!
I just enjoyed a Peach Crisp Ice Cream on Sunday ... it was delicious.
Have fun with James.

Wow - that is so awesome that you have his sewing machine. We ask an icebreaker question every Tuesday night. I borrowed #3 and asked that question. I was amazed at how many in our group wanted peach cobbler plus vanilla ice cream on top. I prefer the plain peach, too!
Not one single thing comes to mind when I think of prized posession.
Tailoring is becoming a lost art. It's so hard to find someone good and available too. Have fun with James tomorrow!
Oh man, I remember using one of those 'exercise' machines. Funny! Great response to #4. Listening is so important; I wish more people realized that.
Enjoy your time at Irvine Park tomorrow!
Have fun at the zoo. My Dad has his grandmother's wooden ironing board, I have told him I like to have it someday.
I would love a fresh, ripe peach...our supermarket never has ripe ones. They do have watermelon, though. One of my very favorite foods.
I hope you have a great time with James. ❤️
That is so neat about all of the items you own that had belonged to relatives. I love old items from by gone days. My grandma was born in 1900 as well. I don´t have anything from her, sadly. Enjoyed reading your answers!
I like your answers and can relate to some of them.
What is an adult problem nobody prepared you for?
The cost of living, as a child we never think about such a matter that is something we leave to the adults to worry and struggle with.
Without mentioning any tech, what's your most prized possession?
Family photos without a doubt.

I like peaches, don’t have them very often and currently I don’t own anything peach coloured.
What makes a friendship successful?
Acceptance, to be a true friend one must accept someone for who they are and not try and change them.

For a happy life one needs to learn to accept things and people for what they are going about trying to change things is often the cause of sadness and stress and achieves nothing
I don't know what it is but every time I eat watermelon, it tastes like garlic to me. It's weird!
I always enjoy meeting friends for lunch, it's fun and uplifting! Enjoyed your answers!!
You are busy caring for James and the dogs, too. How interesting that your grandfather was a tailor. Those are interesting items to have from them. Hope the rest of your time caring for James goes well.
Perfect answers for this Peach of a day..(:0)
I'm so glad you could have some time with James and the doggies too.
Now I'm hungry for some watermelon..yummm

I enjoyed your answers. I remember that belt exercise machine, and there was one like a giant abacus that was curved and you knelt down, leaned over it, and rolled back and forth!
I hope you had a wonderful time with James!
