2. Do you salt food while you're cooking or let diners add their own? What's a food you think must be salted? Do you like pepper?
Yes, I think some salt can be added and pepper too. Mark does most of the meats on the grill and he salts way too much. He uses salt and pepper on everything. I'm not sure about what must be salted. Yes I like pepper.
3. What was the last gathering you attended and what did you do there?
We really don't go to any big gatherings, however we will be going to the wedding in Georgia at the end of the month.
Last September we went to Texas to visit with Mark's Mom. We just hung out and went out to eat a few times. Meet up with Mark's brother Jeff and his 2 boys. Adam, Gabby and James went with us.
I believe we went to Adam and Gabby's for Thanksgiving and Gabby's family would have been there. We enjoy hanging out with them. The kids usually have a bounce house. We will be going there for Easter too!
4. Your favorite shade of purple? What's your favorite purple flower?
I'm going to go with Lavender for the shade of purple. Flower would be Lilacs.
This would be from our first trip to Montana in 2017 after Amber and Dylan moved there. This was a photo taken in Utah of a beautiful Lilac bush. We don't see them here in California but I grew up with them in Chicago.
5. Share a favorite spring travel memory.
That's hard for me to remember. We took several trips from Chicago to see the country. I am guessing that seeing Mount Rushmore was one I will never forget.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We got to spend some time with Adam, Gabby and James on Friday night which is always awesome. I didn't get any photos. We had a great dinner and played a few games of Bunko with James.

love the cushions in the chairs. and would like getting in the spa with that beautiful view. last traveling I did was 2008 to Augugsta and Savannah GA to gather with my brothers family and my friend Loreta and Madline and my son David and his wife... Bob's last traveling was 2004 on one of our Ormond Beach runs that stopped in 2004 because we got Jake and added him to Baby and Cooper and never went anywhere together after that...
Your new furniture is beautiful! Enjoy!!
Wade always added salt and pepper when he was cooking and I always thought it was too much. I prefer to let everyone add their own.
Love your backyard furniture. Those cushions look really nice and the colors are great
I love a porch refresh and your cushions look nice. We don't see lilacs here and I guess it's too hot and humid. When I've had them in other places I've lived the climate was cooler. Have a great day Debby!
I like your outdoor space Debby, golly what a view! :-)
Looking forward to hearing all about your upcoming trip.

Wow love your patio. We need new cushions this year. The new patio furniture looks nice. I like all the shades of purple but lavender is my favorite!
Your patio furniture is lovely, Debby. My favorite purple blooms are wisteria which we find in abundance here. Blessings!
Love your new cushions and the patio furniture too. We sure need some ourselves.
I do season most things with a blend called Nature's Seasoning. It seems sufficient for us. I get along without salt most of the time. I guess the last gathering was church last Sunday, before that it was lunch with some special friends.
I really like purple and lavender is a great tone for my coloring. I do like the color lavender as I said but the flower is just too heady for me to be around.
Every Spring for 13 years I went down to Mexicali, Mexico with the kitchen team for our churches college and high school ministry work of building houses and VBS. People gotta eat so we did a whole lot of cooking for 1000+ people.
I have since "hung up my apron" and do miss the good old days of serving.

Love the pretty new seat cushions. That looks like a lovely place to sit and enjoy the views. And that spa/hot tub sounds delightful! I think I could enjoy that too! Love that you get to spend time with James so often. That is truly a blessing!
Wow - your back yard is GORGEOUS! HEAVENLY! I would love it.
I know you are so looking for to the trip to GA!
The purple flowers were so pretty.
I agree - salt less pepper more.
Love how you play bunko with James.
Love, sandie
Nice to visit you today. I like your new furniture. The pattern on your cushions is similar to the pattern in your blog background.
I love purple flowers.
Oh, I love your patio furnishings! Tom does a lot of grilling as well, but I think he's finally learned I'm serious about not salting my steak -- or will use garlic powder instead.
Oh, I can't imagine not seeing lilacs every spring. I will enjoy them extra on your behalf this year.
I really like the cushions you picked for your outdoor furniture. Lilacs are such a sweet bloom. Descanso Gardens in La Canada/Flintridge has a beautiful lilac garden. Hope all goes well for your trip to the wedding.
Beautiful new patio furniture! I love those cushions. Lilacs are so pretty, and I guess it never occurred to me that they don't grow well down south. Hope you're having a great week!
I do salt when cooking but I always under salt because I am not a salt lover.
I love your furniture and the new cushions!
Hi Debby, That is nice that you got to patio furniture. We need to get a new spa cover. We have the extra long rectangular size that we got at Cal Spa years ago. I know you are looking forward to being with family. Praying you stay healthy!
I too am praying that you will stay healthy for the GA trip! ❤️
