YOU DON'T SAY?

I got this beautiful award from Tami at Hearts Make Families. She is a publisher at Macaroni Kid, have you seen it? Get signed up for their emails! Thank you so much for my award Tami and I appreciate you thinking of me. This is the first time I have received this award. Head on over and read the questions that Tami had to answer. I liked here answer to #9:

"Why do you blog? I blog for several reasons. I started blogging for my kids though. This is my kid’s memoirs. I want them to know their mother and never to question my love for them. But now I blog for an outlet. I blog for my readers and my bloggy friends that I have developed. I blog to help others."

Here are the rules for this award! Answer the questions, make up ten of your own, and pass it on to seven others. (I am going to break the rules since I just did this one recently) You are more than welcome to play along if you want.

If you could interview anyone in the world for your blog, who would you choose and why?
I am going to go with John Travolta/Kelly Preston. John Travolta has been my all time favorite forever. Since the death of their son I have really wanted to just sit with them, hold them and cry with them. Now if I were able to choose someone from heaven, besides Jesus, I would say Princess Diana. I loved her and admired her.

Can you remember your last dream? What was it?
It had something to do with pizza.

Name 3 places you’d like to go on vacation too.
Paris, Hawaii and England (would love to visit Diana's grave)

What scares you the most?
Losing my loved ones.

What is your favorite book of all time?
Nothing is coming to mind but most likely a Danielle Steel book.

What’s the funniest movie that you’ve seen?
I am sure I have seen many but I really laughed at "The Hangover"

Where are your kids right now?
I am sure my son is at work at Cedars Sinai and my daughter is asleep over in the end of the house she is currently living in!

What was the last thing you ate?
Leftover Blackberry Cobbler

Are you usually late, early or right on time?
On time!

What is your favorite band or singer?
It's always been Barry Manilow however I love Steely Dan, CSN and Chicago.

P.S. These were answered prior to my weekend away so blackberry cobbler was not really the last thing I ate!

GREAT WEEKEND OR BUST!

MY LIVING WILL

The other night, my kids and I were sitting in the living room and I said to them, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.

They got up, unplugged the computer, and threw out my wine !

So I went to Las Vegas, I am vegging out infront of a Keno machine and of course the fluids are flowing :)

See you on Tuesday!

I have turned the comments off.

I know you all wish me well and I love you for that.

I am sure you have seen this joke before but I thought it was worth repeating.

WE INTERRUPT OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM FOR A......

~Hiatus~

Linda over at 2nd Cup of Coffee needs a (well deserved) break from Random Dozen so now I have to think for myself ~ OMG ~ what's a girl supposed to do! (hopefully it will be back in July)

On Monday I said I was going to have some pictures from Sunday's dinner at our house. Here they are!

I made The Pioneer Woman Cooks recipe for Patsy's Blackberry Cobbler from Ree Drumond. It was a hit with the family. (I didn't have self-rising flour so I did a baking powder addition to my flour.) It was very easy to make and I will make this again.

The asparagus recipe is from Simply Recipes, we like it and have made it before. Years ago back in Chicago we had a neighbor who lived across the street who was from Germany. Boy could she cook. She would make parmesan monkey bread from scratch and I have made her recipe many times. Now I just buy Bridgeford parkerhouse style frozen rolls and do the same thing. Roll them in butter and then into parmesan cheese. I am still playing around with this to get them to rise correctly. We also had steak, mashed potatoes and corn.

Just to round things off we also had some Daiquiri's with the frozen mix that we buy. We also played Wii and a new game called Sequence although the game isn't new to me. My sister actually made this board game herself in Florida years ago so I have played it before. It was a fun Sunday :)

Charlie with a ball in his mouth that has a moustache attached. Skye telling Charlie a secret! (I don't know how many times I have to tell her that it's not nice to tell secrets:) Both of them sleeping in my office as I type away at the computer. Skye in her bed in the hallway which is so funny. My daughter had vacuumed the family room leaving her toy box and bed in the hallway. She was tired and didn't care where her bed was. (a crazy tongue shot!) You should see her play with this ball. She goes from room to room pushing it with her nose. I need to get this on video.
