I took mine down on the 26th. I dread doing it so I just made myself.
Enjoy your tree as long as you want to!
Doing absolutely nothing is okay I am finding out. I am learning not to have a schedule that makes me crazy. Blessings.
Don't sweat not having the tree down. Enjoy it as long as you can! Have a great time in Vegas...can't wait to hear about it!
One year my kids and I kept the tree up till March. I say it is a personal preference; no rules about when the tree has to go up or be taken down. You were not feeling well, but the tree was up for you to enjoy.
I hope you are feeling super duper now.
I am glad you are feeling better. Hey it is ok to leave your tree up. Now if it was July it might look a little odd :-) Just take your time.
Ahh there is no rush. My husband always tells me, take a break, do it tomorrow. But I don't because with 2 little ones, my house would look like a tornado gone through, which means double the work. Glad you feel better.
Loving the new look! CUpcakes are my fave. I need tips on changing the look of my blog, got any to share??
You can enjoy your tree longer.. No one says it has to come down.. You only life once so why not have fun and enjoy life..
Have a great time in Vegas. ;-)
I know people who never take their tree down. They just change the decorations to fit the holidays or seasons.
Me? Mine came down on New Year's Day when the family was still at home to help me do it.
What fun reading all these postie notes! And what a great lesson it was. I'm a great putter offer. Big. HUGE. Need to get off my butt and get something done. Thanks for the reminder!
I love to see you have some traveling! I am craving that right now! The tre....she'll wait :) Enjoy each day! Hope you are doing good Debby!
But see your tree is so pretty it needs to be up for a long time :).
Have fun on your trips and DON'T think another thought on it!
Hey, who says we should have to rush to get the tree down anyway? I'm guilty of putting things off myself. My daughter-in-law's tree is also still up, too, because she had a c-section on Dec. 27th.
Maybe you can throw a pretty sheet over it and leave it up! HAHA - then you will have it ready for next year! Have fun! sandie
It's so easy to get sidetracked by other things. It often happens to me. And our tree is still up. Not decorated but still up!
Or you could just go ahead and get an early start on next year and leave it there. ;)
Who is worrying about your tree being decorated? I say, get it done when you can, and until then, enjoy it. I've taken a "no pressure" attitude lately. I noticed your note at the top of your blog. I can't leave comments on one blog. I've tried several times. Can't figure out what's wrong. She has a lot of comments, so nobody else seems to be having trouble with it??? laurie
Christmas comes but once a year, a couple extra weeks with that gorgeous tree is probably good for the soul:)
Glad you are feeling better!
Have fun in Vegas...the tree isn't going anywhere...
I've only been to Las Vegas once and had a wonderful time! So have fun!
If I would take my Christmas flowers off my dining table I would be finished, but I haven't! :)
Sounds like you have learned the lesson. I am having a few issues with leaving comments on some blogs...but none have vanished yet.
Have lots of fun in Vegas & the tree can wait. We took ours down right after New Years. Last year it was later.
trekking your blog!!!
cheers!
..TREK..
If you have a basement you could do what my parents do. They just move their whole tree to their basement...ornaments and all :-) Saves time on decorating and tearing down each year ;-)
glad ur better.. I say don't sweat the small stuff lol so the tree stays out a little longer ..its beautiful!!
just don't put off the important things like bowling or husband time and family!
have a great day!
You could of course just leave it out and then you won't have to spend time decorating it next year?
I now take my tree down first, then go on to everything else. I still have my fireplace mantle decorated since it is more Wintry than Christmas. Sometimes we just need a little me time and it's okay...
Enjoy your trips and bowling.
Don't you find laundry the gift that keeps on giving? Lol
The sooner I get mine down the happier I am. I am as excited to get them down as I am to get them up. :o) Glad you are about to get your down.
Happy week!
I'm laughing at what Mara wrote!
My neighbors across the street still have their tree up. We can see it through the window, and it's nice and cheery on our cold and dark wintery days.
I tried to fix my new button; could you see if it works for you now, and let me know if it doesn't? Thanks!
I waited until the week after New Year's, too, but it only takes me a couple of hours, fortunately!
