1. What lesson has failure taught you?
Compassion for others has come from failure and also that you should never give up on life because tomorrow is a brand new day given to us by God.
2. What decision are you glad you made?
Obviously having God in my life and having our children would be high on my list!
3. I've been a little bit surprised to see fully lit and decorated Christmas trees popping up for the past several weeks in friend's Instagram feeds. So tell the truth-is your tree up and decorated, and if so when did that happen? If not, when will you be decking the halls?
My two trees are up, one is decorated. No other decorations are up. I would normally start the day after Thanksgiving. The reason is because I have over 900+ ornaments and I am going out of town for week after Thanksgiving and it would just be too stressful for me if I didn't get them done. When I get home I will start decorating the house. It is out of necessity this year!
4. Solitaire-Poker-Rummy-Hearts-Go Fish-Old Maid...which game of cards would you most like to join?
I like playing solitaire but as a family we enjoy playing poker.
5. This question comes to you courtesy of a Facebook friend, who once upon a time had a blog...When you're feeling stressed do you snack a lot or are you more the 'can't eat' type?
Well absolutely true stress, like when my husband left me 31 years ago, I didn't eat for weeks! Now if I have some stress in my day I don't seem to run for food but I do enjoy a glass of wine on a day with stress. But only one around dinner time!
6. Have you ever reviewed a product or service on line? Was your review favorable or less than favorable?
I did a book review once on my blog.
7. What was the best conversation you had yesterday?
Oh my gosh, the conversations at an amazing congratulations dinner last night was filled with memories from my husband Mark's childhood and his sister Michele's. Also just a wonderful evening filled with conversation from two of our favorite people. We spent a few hours over a delicious dinner of Filet Mignon, 2 bottles of wine and two amazing desserts which the restaurant gave us in honor of their marriage yesterday.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Pam & Michele....my sister in laws.
Michele is Mark's sister.

I agree with a little wine to reduce stress! ( : And, congrats to the newly married happy couple!
congrats again on the wedding in the family. :)
i like the wine, too. :) along with snacks for stress.
I always wait till December to decorate...when my son was little we didn't decorate till after his birthday which is the 13th of December...a glass of wine is a great relaxer...
Congrats to your sister in laws :-) May they have much happiness!
Debby...your tree looks BEAUTIFUL! Sure hope I can get ours up the weekend following Thanksgiving...fingers crossed!
A glass of wine does take the edge off : ) I love a glass of wine, but I've been really strict with my calories of late, so have not indulged much. The holidays will be a little challenging. Not going to fret, just do the best I can not to overdo the sugar, my weakness.
Your tree is absolutely beautiful. A glass of wine does help take the edge off. However, when stressed there isn't enough wine for me!!!!
I like your answers!
Failure has taught me strength.
I have God in my life too.
I like solitaire too.
Congrats to your SIL's!
Have a nice week.

Congrats to the newlyweds! I love good conversation too. I'm a stress eater, evidenced by how I look right now after an interesting year. Hope you are doing well! Ann
Somehow I KNEW you'd have one of your trees up already, knowing how long it takes for you to decorate!
Great picture of your SILs!
I do agree that compassion for others does come from failures in our lives. I too enjoy a glass of wine (or two some days) in the evenings to take the stress of the day off and relax into the evening.

First, congratulations to your SILs on their marriage!
And, wow, you have your trees up? I don't even buy mine until December.
900+ decoragions? Oh MY! Where do you store all of them? Great answers.
1, failure over and over in my life taught me I can always overcome whatever mistake i make.
2.getting married to bob at age 40
3. i put my two little 2 foot trees up on Thanksgiving day now..since 06.. just the two of us, and the trees just need to be plugged in with maybe 20 ornaments to add.
takes me about an hour
no games, no cards for me. the dinner sounds wonderful with food and family and congrats to your sisters in law
oops forgot to say love your tree, beautiful.. and great answers to
I've failed so many times and you're right it does make you more compassionate!
Your trees are always so beautiful.....the thought of decorating for Christmas just stresses me out, so I'd better get out the wine! I've already had cookie dough this morning. I'm in big trouble!!
So happy for your SILs. I'm a mix between no food, food, and wine when stressed!
I love seeing the transformation of your trees every year.
Congratulations to your sisters-in-law. That's wonderful!
I love your tree. I just love most Christmas trees. I love the season. I can't imagine the stress of 900 ornaments. I haven't unpacked my ornaments in years. I went to candy canes and bows one year out of desperation and I never looked back.
It's been a few weeks since I've done the Hodgepodge! Just wanted to stop and say hi. I like your tree and your Christmas countdown counter! I just noticed that as I scrolled down. :)
Congrats on the wedding in the family! Wow, over 900 decorations!! How fun. Enjoy your week out of town.
