......TO GET SICK
For me it is usually after Christmas that I crash and burn. Wednesday night I was laying on the sofa in my office watching TV, I had gotten up to take my evening medications and then I fell asleep until about midnight which is when I woke up chilled to the bone.
Just so you know I have always been a hot blooded person and add menopause to that....well you get the picture. I'm the person who sleeps in shortie pajamas and barely with a sheet on all year round. For the last several months I have been chilly wearing socks and sweaters around the house everyday. So not me!
So I went to bed with my robe and socks on, covers pulled up over my head and I think I shivered for close to 45 minutes. I think if Mark would have been home I would have had him take me to the emergency room. I could not get warm. I didn't want to get out of bed to turn the heat up but finally I did and I grabbed the heating pad as well.
I did finally stop shivering and fell asleep only to be woken up several times with nausea. I used my trusty Emetrol for nausea which definitely helped. So on Thursday I was exhausted and slept all day. Never once turned on my computer or barely got off the sofa. Every single bone in my body ached and they still do today. I did manage to sit in our jet tub which helped. I am not nauseous today but I haven't got an ounce of energy and to make matters worse I have to go out today!
If I don't get the 25 out of town gift cards purchased today they will not go out in the mail on Monday. Sure I could wait until Saturday or Sunday but that would be a nightmare with the crowds. Today is definitely the better day. I am happy to report that I got all the shopping done online for our Christmas here at home and just finished up with the dogs too!
I have decided to take this weekend off and will be back here on Monday. I will get caught up with all of you as soon as I can. Have a lovely weekend.

Being sick any time of year is not fun - but this time of year it always seems 10-times worse. Hope you feel better soon!!! ((HUGZ!!))
I hope you get feeling better soon. That is not fun and there isn't a good time ever, but right before Christmas? Just plain cruel.

Oh no!!! Slow down and take care of yourself!! They were just talking about this sort of thing in church today~ how we push ourselves so much during this time and people get sick. Hang in there and rest up! <3
Yes! Please rest and take care of you. Sounds like you have a horrible bug. Hope you feel better soon, I'm sure some good old fashioned TLC will do you wonders. xo
There's never a good time to be sick, but this time of year is a terrible time to be sick! I hope by now you are back to your old self again!
So sorry to hear you have been sick. Since the fall I took on Thanksgiving day I have no desire to do much of anything. Hope you improve soon.
You're so like Rick, he is the same way when he gets sick.
HUGS my friend, hope you're feeling better.
That sounds miserable. Hope you feel better soon!
Well, I hope it was a very restful weekend.
I started feeling cold-like symptoms yesterday but I'm already feeling better and I am SO glad!
I already read that you're feeling better so I'm glad about that too.
