Volume 154
Join in....Joyce is waiting for you!
1. Are you doing anything special to mark this season of Advent? If so please share.
No, nothing I can think of.
2. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen...and of course you recall, the most famous reindeer of all...so, which reindeer name best describes you this week?
I think I'm Dasher this week. Lot's to do to get the out of town gifts cards purchased and mailed. Of course there is always the other shopping for us here at home which will be done mostly on the computer but time is getting shorter each day.
3. What's worse-too quiet or too loud? Which have you had more of lately?
I actually like the too quiet with a little Christmas music in the background. Too loud is pretty common in our house, Amber and I'm a loud talkers, it feels right at home.
4. This question comes to you from Zoanna over at A Penchant for Pens-thanks Zo! When you are administratively gifted, how often do you find yourself not trusting less gifted people to do what they've committed to do? If you are not so gifted that way, but are reliable, how do you feel when the stronger person (in that area) goes ahead and covers it before giving you a chance to come through?
I like to be in control. I do know that my daughter has this issue at work. She is very gifted when it comes to merchandising products so she does it all. She gets burned out and needs to delegate. Sometimes people just need some extra instructions!
5. What is your most dreaded task relating to the holidays? Your most looked forward to holiday task?
Well I always look forward to decorating the house but it can be a dreaded task until it's done. I use to dislike cooking on Christmas day because I always felt like everyone else got to party and I was stuck in the kitchen. So now we order a frozen Chicago Deep Dish pizza from Chicago which I make and we have plenty of snacks so I enjoy the day with the rest of my family. I will do a breakfast casserole too!
6. Facebook has released its list of the 'most talked about' topics of 2013. Pope Francis took the number one spot. Does that surprise you? He was followed by election, royal baby, typhoon, and Harlem Shake. Your thoughts? What was yourmost talked about topic in 2013? (Facebook, around the kitchen table, or wherever it is you talk)
My favorite was the Royal Baby for sure!
7. What's something you consider a necessity that others might view as a luxury?
Well I like a nice purse, does that count?
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I made this extra big so you could see it. You can copy it and print it out! I think I may have two things checked off this list, how about you?

I need a reindeer named "exhausted" to identify with....lol!
I dread the decorating until it's done, as well.
I've done a few things on the list. I don't think I'll be making a snowman out of sand, unless someone surprises me with a trip : ) Plenty of snow here though!
I love the new reindeer, exhausted. I loved reading your thoughts as always. Have a great week my friend.
'dasher' be careful out there. :)
too loud is definitely too much. :)
Sounds like you do have a lot more to do to get ready for the holiday, Debby. Dasher does sound like the right reindeer for you today :)
betty
the only thing on that to do list i can check off is the Christmas photoshoot, of course it was me and my nook in that. hope that counts. YUM on the deep dish pizza, i rather have that than turkey or ham.
i love to quiet. to loud drives me nuts and I am a loud talker to... also i am a control freak and when i worked, i worked myself into bad health...
I've done a few of the things on the list and I hope to do a few more.
What's worse is to loud for sure. I like it very quite. Have a Merry Christmas.
How lovely to have you visit at Lawn Tea, and one of my favorite things is to kindle a lovely memory for someone.
Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas!

I love that list -- I am totally pinning it!
Have a great Wednesday!

I hope you get all of your "Dashing" around done this week :)
I loved your Christmas list, and actually have done many of the things on it already...and here I thought I was running behind :)
No dashing for me this year - I've decided to pare down to only essential tasks. Haven't even gotten the tree decorated yet and I'm letting most other things go. Maybe next year.
My last fav task is the Christmas cards. So tedious.
You are still busy girl! DASHING around. I am dasher too. And I like you like it quiet. lol

LOL I think I'm a cross between prancer and dancer this week! I'm all over the place just trying to keep up :) Happy holidays!
OHHH you know how much I love check lists. LOVE this.
Hmmm, I like your take that sometimes certain people just need more instructions.
