I noticed that Blogger has added a section onto my comments and many of the blogs I visit regularly that says:
"Please Prove Your Not A Robot"
You have to put in a number before you leave your comment. I do not like change. I have seen it in different formats on blogger recently, not just on the pop-up comments that I use.
I have checked settings and there doesn't seem to be a way to remove it at this time. I apologize for this inconvenience to you.
JUST FOUND OUT YOU CAN HIT PUBLISH WITHOUT ENTERING THE NUMBERS IF YOUR A MEMBER OF BLOGGER. SOME OTHER BLOG SERVICES MAY HAVE TO USE THE NUMBER.

I have also noticed this. I'm not sure if it's a part of my blog now, but it seems like blogger would have informed their members of these types of changes.
Really? I didn't know that!!!
Well, I'll be - it worked :) haha
This data does not compute...click...does not compute...click...does not compute...sorry...my robot button seems to be stuck on repeat...click...repeat...
;-)
I noticed this yesterday; hadn't noticed it before except on blogs that still had word verification turned on. It is not too bad since any numbers put in seem to work to get the comment to post. I hope it is just a glitch worked out soon by Blogger.
betty
Oh yes I hate when they force that on us :(.
Yes, it is happening on all the blogs. I have no idea why.
Crazy how some blogs have it and others don't. Crazy indeed.
or you can switch to 'embedded' comment format, but i hesitated to do that since it seems to reload the page to publish your comment and i didn't want to hang folks up any longer than i do with tons o' photos. :)
I don't mind the numbers, but the ones that have jumbled up letters slow me down a lot!
I tried publishing without the numbers and it worked!
Thanks. I have wondered about this. And can robots not see those numbers?
Isn't it annoying, several people mentioned that it's a glitch which means (I hope) that it will disappear again!
It was on my blog, too. But there are several bloggers who didn't have the "prove you're not a robot" prompt ... and all of them have their settings so that comments are typed imbedded into the post, not in a pop-up window. I changed my settings so comments are typed imbedded into the post, and now I don't see that annoying prompt.
Oh, I hope it's not on mine! I have trouble reading those little boxes!
I dislike those things! I have a google account so I can see the numbers even though I'm on blogger. But I just commented on another blog and didn't have to add numbers. At least I can read the numbers! The crazy letters are the most annoying ones.
Funny that you bring it up because I was just wondering why you added it and come to find out you had nothing to do with the decision. Oh well, it is what it is and I am certainly not a robot, so I can figure it out.
I thought I was in the twilight zone! LOL
Thanks for that update Debby. Makes sense for non-Blogger accounts to have to do that.
And I guess by now you've already removed it, because it's not here.
Debby,
I have also seen the click here to prove you are not a robot, without the numbers.
I have gone into my settings and can't find anything on it.
Seems like blogger would give you a choice of turning it on or off.
Stopping by to wish you a Merry Christmas!! xoxo
