Welcome back to another Tuesday 4 in honor of Toni Taddeo it's founder.
They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Sometimes it is the reverse. March has a lot of happenings like March 1st the start of Mardi Gras, the 13th is Daylight Savings Time, the Ides of March on the 15th, St Patrick's Day on the 17th, the first day of Spring on the 20th this year March 29-31 are the "borrowing days" when weather is traditionally rough or stormy.
1. Do you celebrate Mardi Gras or St. Patrick's Day and how do you celebrate them?
No we do not celebrate either of those. Of course years ago I was at a bar on St. Patrick's Day and had a green beer!
2. Do you decorate for the spring in any way at all?
Not really.
3. Daylight savings time doesn't make the day longer. Experts say it puts kids heath at risk as well as contribute to heart problems for adults. Arizona and Hawaii don't change times. It began as "war time" so war workers in WW2 could come home in the light. What about you though? Are you happy to see it return or not?
I do like the longer daylight that comes with changing the clocks. I would be happy if they would just keep the same time all year long.
4. How has the weather been in your neck of the woods as March approaches. What would be your ideal for weather?
We have had a lot of winds this year. Of course we are up on top of a hill so it can often be breezy. We have had a few very cold nights and we have also had some very nice weather during the day.
Sunday was around 70 degree and perfect in my opinion. I have to say I am pretty happy with our weather in Southern California.

I've never celebrated Mardi Gras but have kind of sort of celebrated St. Patrick's Day.
I hate the time change. I know most people like it being light later but I go to bed really early and it's not easy going to bed when it's still light out. I wouldn't really care which time they chose though I would just like to stop going back and forth
no celebrations of Mardi Gras or St Pat but when I was in highschool I never missed the st pat parade in Savannah but I went for all the marching Soldiers. they all came. Marines, Army, Air Force and Navy.. after the parade downtown was full of young military. need i say more? hate hate hat the time change.
I would love the time to stay the same too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey remember in Chicago when the colored the river downtown green?
I enjoyed soaking in the sun yesterday. Going to be hot today. I try to get out in the sun for my vitamin D. Yes, we have had a lot of wind. Really messes the sinuses. Enjoy your week!
I've been celebrating St. Patrick's Day for almost 72 years now ... that's my birthday! Tom keeps threatening to take me to Chicago to watch them turn the river green on St. Paddy's Day.
It's a gorgeous 70* day here. Going into the 80's by the weekend, which I dread. But hey, what-cha gonna do?
We have celebrated Mardi Gras in Moblie but not in New Orleans. I will never do that. Tonight we will have the traditional Fat Tuesday pancake supper but that is as far as we go with any celebration.
J am pretty sure we are in full blown spring now, because birds are nesting things are blooming and my eyes are itching!
Have a glorious spring week!
Hi,
I am with you.. let us just stick with one time.. daylight savings or standard, I do not care, I just do not want to change the clocks anymore!
I will take your 70 degree day.. sounds lovely.
;-)
We don't "celebrate" either of those days here either. When younger I used to make sure I wore green to school so I wouldn't get pinched...
I hate the time change. Wish it would just stay the same. I do like when its light later though.
Its bee clear and nice the last few days but the weather man says it will drop into the 50's here in the Flatlands and snow and rain in the mountains. We definitely need some of that wet stuff here in the Sacramento Valley.

People always talk about making corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day but I haven't yet. Maybe this year. Otherwise I don't do much for St. Patrick's Day or Madri Gras. I'm glad we don't do the time change here and often forget it still happens elsewhere :) We had a gorgeous 84 degree weather day here!
betty
I don't really celebrate either...I think Mardi Gras would be way too loud for me if I was in New Orleans. I enjoy a good blustery day. I enjoyed your answers.
